File Requirements for Custom Designs

When submitting your own design for printing, please ensure your files meet the following requirements to guarantee the best quality:

1. Accepted File Formats

  • PDF (Preferred for high-quality printing)
  • JPG (High-resolution image files)
  • TIFF (For high-quality images with no loss in detail)
  • PNG (For transparent background elements)

2. Resolution Requirements

  • All files must have a minimum resolution of 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch) to ensure sharp and clear printing.
  • Low-resolution images may appear pixelated or blurry when printed.

3. Bleed Specifications

  • A 2cm bleed is required around the edges of your design to ensure there are no unwanted white borders after cutting. This means your design should extend 2cm beyond the final trim size.

4. Colour Mode

  • Files should be in CMYK colour mode (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black) for accurate colour reproduction during the printing process.
  • RGB files may result in colours that look different when printed.

5. Fonts and Text

  • Ensure that all fonts used in your design are either outlined or embedded in the file to avoid font substitutions during printing.

6. File Size

  • Try to keep the file size under 50MB for ease of transfer. If your file is larger, you can use file-sharing services or compress the file without losing quality.
